Dark grey clouds hung in the sky, lifeless, obscuring the sun, casting the world in perpetual twilight. The air spun listlessly, without purpose, meandering, lost. Lightning flashed in the distance, but it was dull, and arched lazily among the clouds; no thunder followed.
He knelt on his knees on the barren ground, head bowed with eyes closed, as if asleep. But he was not sleeping; how could he sleep? The pain of incredible loss and despair seared through him, leaving a cold ache that seeped into his bones. No, he did not sleep, could not sleep.
The last words of the prophecy slipped into his mind, unbidden:

He was alone. The darkness surrounding him inched closer. Where had she gone? His best friend throughout his short seventeen years of life. She was there when he was asleep. But now she was gone. The encroaching darkness made its goal to swallow him whole and he was shaking. His heart beat quickened and his palms sweaty. He couldn't feel any presence around and it made him ache to know he'd been abandoned.
His head pounded with increasing pain. Where were his meds? He had no more. He ran out in this medium of sorts between godhood and mortality. He inched up close to the wall, the rough texture of the limestone scratching his skin as he star

It's the things one cant have that matter the most to our hearts. If The things we love are bound up and locked away from us, then we are hurt and alone. When these things arent held back from us we feel the happiest and utmost open. We do what we do best because we enjoy doing it. Thats only what make us human, Our feeling could be described as the Mona lisa -- Always being locked up tight, and every two weeks being moved from one place to another.

Two things: I'm sure that in the first stanza/verse you mean 'throw' not 'through'; and maybe it could be a little longer?...it just seems rather short for a song.
